Dr. Dipankar Maiti is currently serving as the Director (I/C), ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Odisha, India. He is also the Head, CRURRS, Hazaribag: 2015 – cont. He was a Principal Scientist, 2006-continuing.; Agricultural Research Service (ICAR), Senior Scientist, 1998-2006.; Agricultural Research Service (ICAR), Scientist, Grade- Sr. Scale, 1990-1998.; Agricultural Research Service (ICAR) and Scientist, Gr. S-1, 1985-90; Agricultural Research Service (ICAR).
He has published 47 Research papers, 2 Review papers, 8 Popular articles, 1 Book, 8 Technical Bulletin including 11 Book chapters.
Awards and Recognitions:
- ICAR Jr. Res. Fellowship to carry out post-graduate research work (1980-81).
- Jawaharlal Nehru award of the ICAR for the year 1987 on recognition of outstanding post graduate research work done for the Ph. D. degree.
- Selected as expert for selection of Lecturer, Reader & Professor of Dept. of Plant Pathology, BCKV, WB during 2005-06.
- Council’s (ICAR) appreciation of good research work (January-June, 2008)
- Served as member of the editorial board of the J of Ind. Soc. of coastal Agriculture during 2009-10
