Dr. Debabrata Sarkar is working as Principal Scientist (Biotechnology), ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute & Allied Fibres (CRIJAF), Barrackpore, Kolkata, since 2008 to till date. Before that he was a Senior Scientist (Biotechnology), Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI), Shimla, 1993-2008. Born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India on 31 October 1963.
